Spencer is 8!

Spencer turned 8 this last week! He will be starting cub scouts on Wednesday, and getting baptized this Saturday! I'll post his birthday pictures later, but I wanted to at least post something today. We love you Spencer!

Abby's happy face

Abby has such a fun little personality. She always gives us these big open mouth smiles, and then she tries to laugh and says "Ha! Ha! Ha!" over and over again. It is so adorable. Aliysa took these cute pictures of her.

Some fun projects

Last Sunday, our kids and their friend Taylor had fun with some domino creations.

Jace taught our little kiddos about volcanos this week in preschool. Here is the volcano he created. (It's a short clip, the battery died on the camera)

Lamoreauxs can sleep anywhere...

We brought Andrew, and these pizzas into the house. I guess he got tired, and climbed up on the counter to find a good place to fall asleep for the night. Like father, like son...

Football season winds up

These two great pictures were taken by Bob's brother-in-law, Dave. http://summphoto.blogspot.com/
We've had some great memories the past 8 weeks, with Bob playing football. The games are a lot of fun, and the kids can run around the stands with their cousins. Bob's family have been really supportive and come to his games, which has made it really fun.
Here are some pictures from last week's game: Jace was the one to tackle the "nacho guy" this week, and get free nachos

Bob's quarterback broke his leg during this game, so last week they played
without a quarterback. Bob injured his foot, but today it is feeling a lot better.
Hopefully he'll be back to 100% by this week's bowl game.

Courtney's Birthday

Courtney turned 10 on October 28th.
I let her have a friend party this year. She invited 12 girls!
It was "crazy hair day" at the local elementary school, so that is why the two friends
in front have green hair, and crazy hair do's. The rest of the girls all do home school.

We let them do a Thanksgiving tole painting project, then they opened presents,
had cake & ice cream, and played our kids' favorite game, "Capture the Flag."

We love you Courtney!

A two-year old trying to figure out this language...

A couple of days ago Andrew came up to me, looking sad and whimpering.
He informed me: "Mom, my foot is hungwey"
I replied: "Your foot is hungry?"
He answered sadly, "Yes"
I thought for a minute...
"Do you mean your foot is asleep?"
"Yes! my foot is ASLEEP" he whined.

Football, etc.

Bob was defensive player of the week last week.
That was while he was playing both defense & offense,
Center & nose-guard, no less!
Good job, Bob!

Here's some pictures from today's game.
Bob's team (the Spartans) played the Wildcats, and won 6 to 3, yeay!

Bob is the one on the left, in the picture below (green jersey)
There was a contest for all the children to chase the "nacho" guy, and try to tackle him.

Spencer won! He chased the guy down and tackled him!
He got free nachos.
Here he is with Mr. Nacho.
Some of Bob's fans, Kimberly, Amber, Makayla, Aliysa, her friend, Taylor, and Courtney.

Andrew & Zach enjoying the game.
This week Mallory went to a dress-up birthday party for her friend, Lili.
Aliysa dressed her up and did her hair.
Abby making funny faces.
One of Aliysa's quirky creations, titled "merrily, merrily"
Bob spearheaded a day on the BYU-Idaho campus where the college Republicans & Democrats handed out copies of the Constitution, and the DVD "A More Perfect Union". They handed out 3,400 copies of the Constitution in two and a half days.

A few miscellaneous pictures

You know your kids are official health food nuts, when they get
this excited to eat something this green for dinner.

I guess Bob isn't quite part of the health food club yet.
Actually, this is kale pesto over brown rice, and the entire family really likes it.
Bob just was being funny, as usual (he is one of the most consistently funny people we know) ;)

Spencer was really proud of this BYU vs. UofU picture he drew.
He took about five pictures of it. It will be preserved for posterity forever.

Mallory had a birthday! We celebrated at Amy & Brent's home, and watched the BYU/UCLA game.
BYU gave Mally a good birthday present, and won the game, 59 to 0!
Here she is with her birthday spice cake with whipped cream, yum!

Here she is opening presents:
Mallory lost her first tooth!

Beautiful Aliysa

I looked out the window, and what did I see...
...Andrew climbing up the apple tree.

Here he is climbing down

Bob started football. This is a picture of his first game (you can see him crouched down at the line, he is #42). He is having a blast playing, and we love going to his games. He is playing really well. The other teams make sure to double team him, and he rarely lets anyone past him when he is pass protecting. In his second game, last week, he had several highlights. He caught a fumbled ball when it flew up in the air, and ran with it, he blocked a punt, and his teammate caught it and scored a touchdown, he had at least one sack, and he had numerous great tackles for losses. He has worked really hard to be in shape for football. We're all impressed.
The second game was FREEZING cold (I think our high that day was 39 degrees or something like that). Bob's family came to the game after his niece Amber's baptism. We all cheered loudly, and tried not to freeze to death. Luckily we had some handwarmers in our car, and all the kids had snowsuits and heavy coats on. Brrrr.
Well, that's our update.

Oh, here's a funny "Andrew" story. On Sunday, he was being really loud during the opening song. He was just making a lot of noise. Bob's parents were sitting behind us, and I whispered in his ear, "Do you see Grandma & Grandpa? I think Grandpa wants you to be quiet in church." (I know, not the best parenting technique, but I hoped it might work) He looked up at me, and smacked me! Then he said "I want to sing the song!" I felt horrible, as you can imagine. The poor kid was raising his voice in song, and I basically told him no one was appreciating it. I hope my kids survive my imperfect parenting techniques.

Rise and Shout

We attended the first BYU football game of the season this past weekend in Utah.
It was so enjoyable being there as a family!

True blue fans

Courtney and Mallory made these hair bows at my friend Jennifer's home.
She had found the cute paw print ribbon earlier, and she showed us how to make them.
She always makes the cutest things! She owns the website http://www.allthingsribbon.com/

It was really hot at the beginning of the game
Thank goodness for water!
However, they don't let you bring any food or drink into the stadium now
(even your own water bottles). So this means you have to purchase water.
Pretty good money maker since they charge $2.50 per bottle! Sheesh!

Down on the field after the game. Notice the dreamy look in Jace's eyes?

Jace practicing. (He said only 7 more years until he'll be playing on this field)

I sure do love this cute bunch of Cougar fans!
